ABOUT THE CRITICAL PARAMEDIC REFRESHER
The Critical Care Paramedic Refresher is an annual 4-day conference the first full week in February in Estes Park, Colorado. This conference provides 32 free hours of IBSC approved critical care CEs for critical care paramedics within the 9 county NCRETAC region of northern Colorado, but welcomes first responders of all certifications beyond the NCRETAC region to attend. The conference has maintained it's approval from the IBSC since 2019. Any of the 32 CE’s can be used for the IBSC approved hours as well as the required critical care CEs required for critical care recertification.
(All CE's are accepted for any level first responder.)
The first 4-day CCPR conference was in 2011 with an attendance of 15-20 in each of the sessions. The second in 2014 and third in 2017. At that time the NCRETAC saw the need for critical care education in northern Colorado and offered annual financial support for the conference. The presenters receive compensation for providing quality and informative critical care presentations, and venue location in Estes Park is accommodating, and beautiful, it is close to local accommodations and restaurants. 2021 brought a virtual component to the conference due to the pandemic restrictions.
Attending in person and or virtually will continue to be options thanks to added efforts by Estes Park Health EMS.

This conference is free to all critical care providers, first responders or hospital staff who live in, work in or transport to the state of Colorado.
All CE's issued from the conference are IBSC approved. Use any of the CEs for the required 16 CE from an approved course and/or use any of the CEs for the remaining 84 critical care required CEs.
Estes Park Health EMS is an approved training group approved by the CDPHE for first responders, EMT, AEMT, EMT-I and Paramedics. The CE's from this conference can be used to meet continuing education for Colorado recertification as well as the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians.
